Astral Aquarius is a lead-free, uPVC piping system for potable water that was
introduced by Astral for the first time in India in 2004.
This system of uPVC pipes and fittings is used
for
cold water application.
The maximum service temperature of this piping
system
is 60°C.
In earlier days, PVC pipes with threads were used
in
these applications and it caused joint leakage, provided less hydraulic strength due
to
threads, and the overall installation was more complicated. Aquarius uPVC pipes and
fittings are solvent weld joint systems that impart double pressure bearing capacity
than conventional PVC threaded pipes.
